General Information
Withington Village Hall has extensive free parking on site (including bays for disabled users), together with plenty of grassed adjoining open space, and is set well back from the village road. The Hall is licensed for performance of live and recorded music.
The Hall entrance has double opening doors to the front of the building. The ground floor WC facilities include an accessible toilet and baby-changing area.
Withington Village Hall is equipped with free Wi-Fi for Hall users, the sign-in details are provided inside the Hall.
The Main Hall, which measures about 16m x 9m (53’x 29’) and has a 5.8m (19’) high ceiling, features a polished hardwood strip floor. It can accommodate a maximum of 250 people, or 200 seated. It has direct access to the Kitchen and Bar Room. The use of thekitchen crockery, cutlery, etc, is included in the hire charges, together with the use of approximately 100 chairs and about 20 large folding trestle tables.
The Hewison Lounge is our meeting room, which measures about 6m x 5m (19’9” x 16’6”), and is separately accessed off the entrance foyer. It can seat approximately 30 people. It is ideal as a training suite, having the benefit of an overhead projector and screen, as well as access to the Kitchen and a hatch to the Bar Room.
The Upstairs Lounge is an L-shaped area on the first floor, equipped with a large sofa, chairs and tables. It has lovely views over the surrounding countryside and benefits from its own WC facilities. Please note, this area is not suitable for anyone unable to negotiate stairs unaided, as there is no lift or stair-lift.
The Kitchen has a wide range of appliances to suit almost all catering needs. There is a six-hob stainless steel double oven with canopy hood, large fridge, commercial dishwasher, microwave, electric hot water urn, kettles, buffalo grill, steel sinks and adequate worktops. The kitchen has a large serving hatch and access to the Main Hall, as well as a separate door to the Bar Room. The use of all the crockery, cutlery and utensils is included in the Village Hall hire charges.
The Bar Room has shuttered serving hatches to both the Main Hall and Hewison Lounge. It is equipped with a sink, worktops, small fridge and a commercial heated food cabinet, which can be wheeled to all the ground floor rooms of the Hall, if necessary.
